~*~~*~Annie was born to Alexander Ross and Mary Ann Bastian.
~~She died at the Ross Bay Family Farm less than a month before her mother Mary.
**Annie was gathering firewood to help heat the house. Her mother was dying of tuberculosis at this time and young Annie was trying to help ease her mothers passing by keeping the farm warm, when the cordwood cascaded down crushing poor Annie with its' weight. She died from internal injuries, at the tender age of 15.She will be forever missed. She is a beautiful angel in God's choir.
///////THE BROKEN CHAIN

We little knew that morning that God would call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same;
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
