Character Actor. He is best remembered as the shotgun wielding bar owner 'Larry,' in the opening of "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" (1992), and playing Uncle Ed in the NBC sitcom "Gimme a Break." He appeared in many films in small but memorable roles. Schrum played "Fat Daddy" in the sci-fi movie "Galaxina"(1980) with Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten. Mr. Schrum also co-starred in "Hollywood Harry"(1986) directed by Robert Forster. His last screen appearance was this year's big screen version of "The Hulk." He also appeared in numerous Television shows. Schrum was known as the Coca-Cola Santa Claus. He portrayed Santa for the Atlanta based corporation for over 10 years. Mr. Schrum did charity work for the Mary Volpes Angel Foundation where he appeared as Santa at schools and other functions. A near fatal auto accident in 2001 made it impossible for him to continue the charity work.
