GREENWICH, N.Y. -- Fabiola L. "Faye" Gillis, 79, of Greenwich, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Faye was born in Shaftsbury, Vt.., on June 5, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Bump Hall. She was educated in Shaftsbury and was employed at Thompson's Manufacturing in Bennington and later worked at C. A. Baltz in Salem and then at Riley's Manufacturing in Greenwich before retiring. Faye enjoyed taking care of her family and being with her close friends.

She is survived by her husband, Burton C. Gillis; her three children, Wilma Priest, of Bennington, Timothy Wilson and his wife, Joanne, of Pownal, Vt.., and Tracie Benjamin and her husband, Donny, of Bennington; her three step-children, Tom Gillis and his wife, Mary, Brian Gillis and his wife, Ava Marie, and Joyce Dixon and her husband, Rick, all of Greenwich. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Rufus Hall and his wife, Janet, of Petersburg, William Hall and his wife, Ida, of Eagle Bridge, Richmond Hall and his wife, Mary of Shaftsbury, Vt., Donna Pradon, of East Lebanon, Maine, Marilyn Harrington, of Shaftsbury, Vt., Helen Squires and her husband of Shaftsbury, Vt. and Roberta Reynolds of Shaftsbury, Vt.; her grandchildren, Michael Priest, Robert Doane, Justin Wilson, Zackary Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Jennifer Dixon, Jessica Gillis, Ashley Gillis, Keith Sprauge, Scott Gillis and Regina Gillis. She is also survived by a great grandson, Christopher Gillis. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her infant son, Jimmy Wilson; a step-son, David Gillis; her first husband, Harold Wilson, her longtime companion, Kenneth Jennings.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Evergreen Cemetery in Salem.

Memorial contributions in memory of Faye may be made to the Sunshine Fund at the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center, 2 Blackberry Lane, Bennington, VT 05201. Arrangements are by the McClellan Funeral Service, 19 East Broadway, Salem.
