MRS. CLAYTON HUNTER DIED FRIDAY
Mrs. Ella Hunter, 74, wife of Clayton Hunter and a former Hartford resident, died last Friday at their home at Blue Creek Farm, on US-12 east of Benton Harbor, where they had resided for the past 18 years.
Mrs. Hunter had been in ill health for 17 years and an invalid the past two years. She was the former Ella Johnson and was born near Bangor, spending her entire life in this section. For a number of years she was employed as housekeeper for the late Wm. Charles at McDonald. She was married to Mr. Hunter in Hartford on January 16, 1921, and for two years they resided on the Myers farm south of town.
Besides her husband she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Julia Gettig, who is seriously ill at her home near Benton Harbor.
Funeral rites for Mrs. Hunter were held from Dean's chapel in Benton Harbor Tuesday afternoon, with burial in Crystal Springs cemetery.
Mr. Hunter will continue in his position as superintendent of Blue Creek Farm, a position he has long held. The farm is owned by Chicagoans.
