Actor. He was also known in Hollywood as Blackie. His parents were James Whiteford and Jeanette (maiden name unknown). He was married to Alma Bennett, Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty and Hollywood starlet at the time of her death on September 16, 1958. I do not know where Alma Bennett (married to Fred Bennett, then to Harry Spingler and finally to Blackie Whiteford) is buried. I am also not sure that Bennett was Alma's maiden name, but according to IMDb she began her career in 1919 and worked until 1939, but supposedly wasn't married to Fred Bennett until 1924. Blackie Whiteford is on IMDb which lists 350 acting roles for him. He worked from 1925 until 1962, and nearly all of his work he is uncredited. His last film he is uncredited but was in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance". http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0925651/
