DOOLITTLE.
At the residence of his father, ex-Senator Doolittle, in this city, on the 18th inst., of spinal meningetis, Silas Wright Doolittle, aged 29 years.
It was but a few days before that he had celebrated the anniversary of his birth-day, enjoying his usual health. for some years he had suffered from a physical disease which induced him to lead a somewhat retired life but his mental faculties were vigorous and strong. As a classical scholar he had few superiors; he was also a great student of chemistry, in which he was making considerable advancement. His funeral was largely attended on Sunday afternoon last. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the family in their bereavement.
