Elisa was the daughter of Angel Campo and Rosario Herreria, born in Langre, Spain. At the age of 20, she married Justo Ruiz Toca and immigrated to the U.S. She was a homemaker and hard worker all of her life, raising six children through World War I and the Great Depression. Her children recalled many memories of Elisa making her own pasta, bread and always finding ways to stretch whatever she was cooking for one more person.
Mrs. Toca lived in Vermont, Jay, ME, East Nassau, NY and Florida until her death in 1977. Her husband followed her into eternity only one month later. She is survived by 3 of her daughters and many grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Elisa also had a brother and sister who were also born in Spain.
