Juanita was born December 18, 1914, to Archibald and Gertrude (Starkey) Dewing in Wichita. She graduated from Augusta High School and married Earl Harold Burris in Augusta. Juanita worked at the Ranger and the 5th Avenue Restaurants as a cook, dishwasher, waitress or wherever needed. She is survived by her son Harold Burris (Sharon) of Wichita; daughters Gertrude Crum (Howard) of Wichita and Marcia Davis (Bill) of Augusta; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sons Gary and Robert Burris; daughter Beverly Shelton; brothers Wayne and Gene Dewing; sisters Maxine Murphy and Doris Breeden.
Viewing will be Monday, November 7, from 9-noon with family receiving friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. all at the funeral home. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery using the Ohio Street entrance.
