OBITUARY: The Washington Post, February 27, 1917, p. 3:
OLDER SISTER OF MRS. WILSON DEAD
Mrs. Mathew Maury Succumbs at Roanoke.
Roanoke, Va., Feb. 26.--Mrs. Matthew Maury, sister of Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, died at 5:30 o'clock this afternoon following an operation for peritonitis. Mrs. Maury's death was sudden, as she has been ill but a few days.
The deceased was the second daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. William Bolling, of Wytheville, Va. She was born in Bedford county 51 years ago.
Mrs. Maury is survived by her mother, Mrs. William H. Bolling, her sisters, Mrs. Woodrow WIlson, Mrs. Hunter Galt, Miss Bertha Bolling, of Washington, and the following brothers: Randolph Bolling, R. Wilmer Bolling and Julian Bolling, all of Washington; Rolfe Bolling of New York, and Dr. William Archer Bolling of Louisville, Ky. Her husband, Matthew Maury, and two daughters, Anne Bolling Maury and Lucy Gertrude Maury, also survive her.
The funeral services will be held here tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery here. Although no word had been received at a late hour tonight, it is expected that all members of the family will arrive at an early hour tomorrow.
News of Mrs. Maury's death was received by Mrs. Wilson at the White House last night. Several members of the family left immediately for Roanoke last night.

Mrs. Wilson Kept From Sister's Funeral by Mother's Illness.
Roanoke, Va., Feb. 27.--The funeral services of Mrs. Matthew H. Maury, sister of Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, who died here Monday, were conducted from the home this afternoon. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson did not attend the funeral, owing to the illness of her mother in Washington.
