Acclaimed Singer. Logsdon began his recording career in the early 1950s. During his early touring days, he opened shows for such artists as Hank Williams, Sr. Some of his recordings were done under the name "Jimmie Lloyd." His best known song is the rockabilly classic "I've Got a Rocket in My Pocket," which can be heard in the soundtrack of the movies, "The Right Stuff" and "The Iron Giant." Some of his songs were recorded by Johnny Horton, Carl Perkins, and Woody Herman. In later years, while still recording, he became a popular radio personality.
