Polly grew up on a farm near Home City, Kansas, and graduated in 1957 from Marysville High School in Kansas.
She was married to Theodore Henderson, Sr. for 53 years and has lived in Lincoln with her family the past 49 years.
She worked at Western Electric and Cengas, The Nebraska Center for Continuing Education and Bryan Hospital cafeteria for many years.
She was a devoted wife, mother to her four sons, and grandmother of seven grandchildren.
She loved watching and feeding the squirrels and birds that gathered in her garden and yard.
