Author. He wrote a number of poems, articles, and novels, as well as being the editor of the Macon (Georgia) Telegraph newspaper. His most famous work, "Eneas Africanus," sold over 3 million copies. His home, the "Kingfisher Cabin," was restored and now sits on the grounds of Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon. (bio by: Evening Blues)

How fun it was when our grade school teacher read us an excerpt from your Eneas Africanus -- his dilemma in Thomson, Thomaston, and other Thom-towns. Was fortunate to know one of your relative's widow way back when I was a young girl.
