She was born in Fulton County and graduated from Girl's High School. Mrs. Ivey was employed with the Georgia State Patrol on Confederate Avenue for a number of years as a clerk. She also worked for the DeKalb County Health Department. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Decatur and attended Ousley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ivey was a member of the Lithonia Women's Club and the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, James Ivey (Pat) of Jackson, GA; daughters, Ann Bowdoin (Dohn), Laura Radford (Tony), all of Conyers, GA; six grandchildren, Chris Clifton, Christina Stanfield, Lisa Bowdoin, Katie Bowdoin, Angela Radford, and Amanda Radford; two great grandchildren, Zachary Clifton and Madison Clifton; brother, Jack Macaulay; sisters, Nell Witek, and Martha Garrett; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2P.M. on Wednesday, April 13th at Dawn Memorial Park with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Portsbridge Hospice, 115 Huntington Park Dr., Fayetteville, GA 30214. The family will receive friends from 5-8PM Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
