Jay W. Kohr, 62, of Lake Park, Georgia, died on Monday, November 7, 2011, at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on November 8, 1948, he was the son of the late Jay and Betty Minnich Kohr. He had made his home in South Georgia for the past twenty years. Mr. Kohr had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed by Brown Auto Sprinkler Systems and Fire Protection.

Survivors are his wife, Diana Daher Kohr, daughters, Kayla and Kristin Kohr all of Lake Park; sisters and brothers in law, Barbara and William Schaefer of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Jean and Larry Hollabaugh of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, brother, Paul Kohr of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, brother and a sister in law, Pete and Brenda Kohr of Middletown, Pennsylvania,

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Dr. Ernie Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Jay to Gold Heart, Golden Retriever Rescue, PO Box 522 Owings Mill, MD 21117.
