JAMES ANDRE WISE

WISE, JAMES ANDRE, age 54, passed away in Birmingham, AL on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Jim was born in Hazlehurst, MS on February 7, 1957. He moved with his family to Birmingham in 1967 and attended the Mountain Brook School systems, graduating from Mountain Brook High School in 1975. Jim went on to receive a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business from Samford University. Jim was employed as a real estate agent with Ingram and Associates where he earned recognition in the Club of Excellence. He was also a member of Southside Baptist Church. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Hennington Wise and Ferdinand Andre Wise of Birmingham, grandparents Sigrid Andre Wise and John Durr Wise of Hazlehurst, MS, and Mattie Lee Henry Hennington and Bob May Hennington of Crystal Springs, MS. He is survived by his beloved friend Sally Tuttle, sister, Helen Wise Pardue (Richard), brother, Joe Hennington Wise (Claire) of Nashville, TN, nieces Betsy Pardue Styles (Eric), Owen Grace Wise, Kathlyn May Wise, nephews, William Andre Pardue (Kara), and Evan Durr Wise. Jim loved his great niece, Mary Caroline Styles, and great nephews, William Hennington Pardue, Henry Peyton Pardue, Copeland Miller Styles, Edward Hughes Pardue, and Kiplin Caelyn Carter. His surviving aunts are Martha Hennington and June Hennington of Crystal Springs, MS and his uncle, John Durr Wise of Tuscaloosa, AL. Jim also had many cousins and faithful friends who were much loved by him. The family would like to extend their special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support team of the Heart and Lung Transplant Unit at UAB where Jim received excellent and loving care as a patient. A memorial service and celebration of Jim's life will be held at Mountain Brook Community Church on Tuesday, September 5, 2011. The visitation will be at the Church at 10:30 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am.
