Former Muncie resident Chester W. "Chet" Blair, 76, Arcadia, Fla., died Friday in his home.
Born in Jackson, Mich., Mr. Blair lived in Muncie for several years.
He worked at Ball Brothers (now Ball Corp.) for 31 years and retired from Ball State University after 12 years as a custodian.
He was a member of First Christian Church and the Ball State Sympathy Club.
Survivors include his wife, Vernie Blair; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Vicki) Shields and Mrs. Paul (Phyllis J.) McGinnis, both of Muncie, and Loretta Blair, Arcadia, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
A daughter and a grandson are deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in the mortuary.
