"ADAMS - ON Feb. 2, 1878, JOHN L. ADAMS, aged sixty-four years.
The relatives and friends of the family, also Excelsior Lodge, No. 46, I. O. O. F.: Palestine Encampment, No. 51, I. O. O. F.: and employees of Stuart & Petersons, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this afternoon, t 2 o'clock, from his late residence, No. 829 Geary street."
He was originally interred at Fernwood Cemetery but moved to Mount Peace on October 5, 1880.
