Active member of New Salem Presbyterian Church
Frances B. Kiger, 94, of New Salem, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Valley Center, South Charleston, W.Va.
She was born February 1, 1911, in Pine Bank, Greene County, a daughter of James F. and Atha Clovis Hoy.
She was a member of New Salem Presbyterian Church since 1946, where she served as an elder and deacon. She was a member of Presbyterian Women's Association, Fowler Class and Missionary Society. She cooked with the church women, who served meals to New Salem Rotary Club and Business and Professional Women.
She also was a member of Order of the Eastern Star 263 of Uniontown.
Deceased are her husband, Oman C. (Kurt) Kiger; two children who died in infancy, James C. and Brenda Lee; and two brothers, Franklin and Paul Hoy.
