She was a native of West Virginia and was 69 when she died. She was the last member of the family of Dr. English, a distinguished physician and at one time was a member of Congress from New Jersey.
Mrs. Noll was generally popular through the diocese, Dr. Noll served for several years as registrar of the University of the South, and at present is rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd and secretary for the diocese.
