Janice Maxine Rentschler Niederer, 70, of 316 S. 750 North, Rochester, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Thursday at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

Born in Fulton to Clarence and Virginist Callaway Rentschler, she first married Richard Early. They had four children; divorced in 1978. She married Glenn W. Niederer on June 27, 1982 in Fulton.

Mrs. Niederer, prior to her illness, was the Northgate Apartments co-manager and attended Fulton Baptist Temple. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1952.

Survivors include her husband Glenn; three sons, Mike Early and wife Cindy, Mark Early, all of Rochester, Martin Early and wife Shelly, Montpelier; one daughter, Debra Curtis and husband Andy, Fulton; two step-daughters, Cheryl Morse and husband George, California, and Greta Landis and husband Larry, Rochester; one stepson, William Niederer, South Bend, one stepson-in-law, Tom Jones, Rochester; three sisters, Lettie Jane Leininger and husband Don, Gurnee, Ill., Mary Baker and husband Otis, Rochester, and Joyce Powlen, Kewanna; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.

Her funeral service was held at Fulton Baptist Temple with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial is at Fulton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fulton Baptist AWANA Club.
