Mrs. Willie Florence Arnold was born in Coweta County, Georgia to William and Josephine Brewster and there she received her education. She later met and united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Nathaniel Arnold, who preceeded her in death. The couple did not have any children. Willie Florence accepted Christ and she and her husband settled in College Park, Georgia, both joining Laster Chapel United Methodist Church. There she was a dedicated and faithful member for over 65 years. Serving in the church in several capcities, including as a Sunday School teacher, District Steward, member of the Sanctuary and Mass Choirs, former President of the United Methodist Women, and in other programs. Willie Florence who was loved dearly by the Laster Chapel congregation was later honored for her years of faithful and dedicated service several years prior to her death. She was employed as a nutrionist for the Fulton County School System and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Willie Florence was a virtious soul, a delight to her family and friends and a source of good will to a stranger for whom she befriended. Willie Florence also found time to care for ill family members and played an important role in the up-bringing and education of her neices and nephews. Through it all she always managed to smile and see life as an opportunity as well as an challenge. Willie Florence Arnold departed this life in East Point, Georgia after a brief illness.
