Myrtle G. Leonard, 91, of 25th Street, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Hickory Creek At Columbus.
Mrs. Leonard was a seamstress and inspector for the former Roviar Sportswear. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, on 25th Street with the Rev. Gerald Hancock officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born Oct. 8, 1911, in Moss, Tenn. Mrs. Leonard was the daughter of Harvey and Annie McCormick Trobaugh. She married Henry E. Leonard on May 21, 1928, in Trace Creek, Tenn.
She is survived by a daughter, Denio Johnson of Columbus; sons, Willard, David and Leroy Leonard, all of Columbus; 21 grandchildren; several great– and great–great–grandchildren; and sisters, Pauline Castiel and Ova Hix, both of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 7, 1991; sons, Junior and Willie Leonard; sisters, Moline Johnson, Esther Smith, Atrice Crawford, Vastie Cross and Essie; and brothers, Dillard and Clay Trobaugh.
