WITHEE - George J. Baehr, 95, Route 1, Withee, Town of Hixton, died Wednesday night at his home.

Services will be Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee. The Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen.

He was born July 8, 1888 in Withee to the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Augusta Westphal) Baehr. He married Alma Parge April 18, 1912 in Dorchester; she died November 29, 1961. He farmed most of his life in the Town of Hixton.

A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mr. Baehr is survived by three sons, Vernon of Thorp, Earl of Withee and Elmer of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Anita Nevala of Thorp, Mrs. Paul (Lorraine) Knoppel of Mount Prospect, Illinois and Mrs. John (Gertrude) Radamacher of Morris, Illinois. 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by two sons, one daughter, one brother and sisters.
