Died in Creston Hospital.
Ruth Anita Maring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Maring, of San Fransciso, Cal. passed from this life Tuesday, October 19, 1926, at the Greater Community hospital, in Creston following an operation for acute appendicitis. Ruth and her mother had been in Coring for some time at the home of Mrs. Maring's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Duer. Mrs. Maring having been called to the bedside of her father who passed away some weeks ago.
The little patient was ill only a short time. She was born in Eugene, Ore. March 31, 1917, being aged 9 years, 6 months and 20 days at the time of her death. Ruth was a faithful attendant at Sunday school since the age of three years. She is survived by her parents and two brothers, Ray W. Maring, who is in Amherst, Ohio and Kenneth Merle, of San Pedro, Cal. also by other relatives and many friends. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones. Mr. Maring arrived in Creaton before his daughter's death.
The body was brought to Corning and funeral services were held at the M.E. church, Thursday, October 21, 1926. They were conducted by the pastor, Rev. E.S. Menoher. Interment was made in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
