  TAYLOR — Marshall H. Graff, age 72, of Blair, formerly of rural Taylor, died on Friday, November 28, 2003, in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Marshall was born on June 2, 1931, in St. Paul, Minn., to Victor and Grace (Paxton) Graff. He married Joyce Fosse on June 9, 1956, in the Upper Beaver Creek Church in rural Taylor.

Marshall graduated from West Salem High School, attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master’s degree in social work. He was the director of the Jackson County Health and Human Services prior to his retirement in 1996.

Marshall was a retired United States Army major.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Joyce; four children, Marie (Mark) Kostecki of Ettrick, Ruth (Dick) Arneson of Taylor, Sarah (Robin) Tamke of Arcadia and Ted (Cindy) Graff of Blair; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by a brother, Lester.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the North Beaver Creek Parish Faith Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick with Pastor Tim Ehling officiating. Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery in the Jackson County, town of Franklin.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
