Leonard was born on March 24, 1925, in the Town of Reseburg, to Conrad and Gertrude (Maier) Barth.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II for over five years in England, France, Germany and Belgium. In Belgium, he met Angelina Von Domelen whom he married.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Angelina, in 1988.
Burial was in Sylvan Cemetery, Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp. Military Graveside Rites were conducted by the Walter Nelson Post 326 of the American Legion.
