Bert Wilson
Birth: Feb. 5, 1911
Cedar Rapids
Linn County
Iowa, USA
Death: Nov. 5, 1955, USA

Sports Broadcaster. From 1944 to 1955, he was the play-by-play broadcaster for Baseball's National League Chicago Cubs on Radio WIND Chicago, Illinois. He was best known for two catchphrases, "I don't care who wins, as long as it's the Cubs!" and "Sic 'em, Cubs!". He also invented the catchphrase "Bingo to Bango to Bilko", for the double play combination of Ernie Banks, Gene Baker and Steve Bilko. Following the 1955 season, Wilson signed with the Cincinnati Reds to do play-by-play on television but died of heart failure prior to the start of the 1956 season. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
