Margaret Frances Leas, 98 of Bridgeport, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Heritage of Bridgeport Care Center.Her funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at All Souls Catholic Church in Bridgeport with Father David Rykwalder officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be given to the Heritage of Bridgeport or All Souls Catholic Church. Margaret was born October 31, 1912 in Loup City, Nebraska to Anthon S. and Nellie (Janulewicz) Woznick. She was united in marriage to Joseph Edward Leas on June 22, 1929 in Greeley, Nebraska and to this union to daughters were born Dorothy Ann and Linda Lou. Margaret worked at the Post Office in Horace, Nebraska, but was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and tending her garden and lawn. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Sunshine Club for over 14 years. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Dorothy and Virgil Roebuck and Linda and Tom Hayden both of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Kathy (Bill) Ewert, Steven (Robin) Roebuck, Paula (Bill) Schlaepfer, Lori (Dennis) Eskam, Denise (Russell) McKay and Brad (Cindy) Hayden; great grandchildren: Stacey Ewert Kahl, Sarah Ewert, Josh Schlaepfer, Mandi Schlaepfer, Jessica Roebuck, Shelby Roebuck, Brittney Flores, Kaitlin Moss, Nicole McKay, Kelsey McKay, Craig Conway, Cheree Conway and Hunter Hayden and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe in 1984 and brothers Lenard and Lawrence "Larry" Woznick and great granddaughter Jamie Lea Schlaepfer.
