Norval Richard Eddy, 76, of 572 Race Street, Waynesburg, died at 6:46 p.m. Monday, June 7, 1982, in Washington Hospital after a long illness.

He was born April 10, 1906, in Wayne Township near Brave, a son of William and Sarah Jane Conaway Eddy.

He resided most of his life in Waynesburg. He was a member of the South Ten Mile Baptist Church, but attended the First Christian Church of Waynesburg where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class. He also was a member of the Waynesburg Lodge No. 153 F&AM.

Mr. Eddy was a former employee of the Greene Street Garage in Waynesburg. He also worked for the state department of welfare at Youth Development Centers in Canonsburg and New Castle, retiring in 1971.

Surviving is his wife, Helene Morris Eddy, whom he married October 20, 1928.

Also surviving are two sons, six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, three brothers, and a half-brother.

Deceased are a sister, Ella Phillips; two brothers, Stanley and Artie; and two half-brothers, Fred and Roy Cumberledge.
