Mrs. Wright was born in Lexington County, a daughter of Mrs. Iva Maydell Goodwin Busbee Simerly and the late, William Haskell Busbee. She lived in Richland and Lexington Counties all her life. Mrs. Wright was a member of Broad River Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Norma S. Worley and Mrs. Jacqueline Lucas of Gaston and Mrs. Doris L. Allen of Irmo; five sons, Charles E. Wright of Columbia and Joe W., Paul W., Carl W., and John C. Wright of Irmo; three sisters, Mrs. Katie Lou Thornton of West Columbia, Mrs. Eva McLemore of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Sybil Turnipseed of Columbia, and 19 grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. in Broad River Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by the Rev. F. Richard Bryant. Burial will be in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaston.
Pallbearers will be James E. Wright, Wilson Turnipseed, Donnie Lucas, Steve Lucas, Curtis W. Wright, and James P. Thomas.
