"Ruby L. McPhail Singletary Richter, 91, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
"Mrs. Richter was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Ocilla, Ga., to the late Robert C. McPhail and Ida Johnson McPhail. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and she retired from Rhodes Stationery Co. in 1989 after 34 years as a sales clerk. She was a member of DAVA, where she served as treasurer for 12 years.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe K. Singletary and Lester J. Richter; brothers, C.R. McPhail, Dennis McPhail, David Edwin McPhail, Johnny McPhail, Robert McPhail and Homer McPhail; and sisters, Ethel Sewell, Mary Ida McPhail Twiford, Grace Bowen and Evelyn McPhail.
"Survivors include her son, Hal W.
