Bond, Thaddeus was born Nov. 17, 1751. He came to Westminster about 1780, and bought lot No. 55, 1st Div. on , April 30, 1781 now occupied by Daniel G. Newcomb, of Nathan Pierce, the first settler upon it.
About this time he married (1) Rebecca, whose family name is unknown and who died Nov. 3, 1787, aged 32. He married (2) Relief Damon of East Sudbury (Wayland), to whom he was published June 17, 1788.
He was an enterprising, self-reliant, public spirited man of great executive ability and moral worth. He served 5 years as Selectman and was otherwise honored by his fellow-townsmen. Interested in military affairs and possessed of soldierly qualities, he rose from the ranks to the distinction of Col., whereto he was commissioned in 1795. He had a large family, mostly daughters. He died Oct. 27, 1831, aged nearly 80.
Relief, his second wife, died April 21, 1816, aged 52. A third wife, Mary (Pierce), widow of Oliver Jackson, whom he married Dec. 17, 1819, died March 16, 1833, aged 72. His mother, who spent her last days with him, passed away April 13, 1813, aged 97.

About this time he married (1) Rebecca, whose family name is unknown and who died Nov. 3, 1787, aged 32. He married (2) Relief Damon of East Sudbury (Wayland), to whom he was published June 17, 1788.
He was an enterprising, self-reliant, public spirited man of great executive ability and moral worth. He served 5 years as Selectman and was otherwise honored by his fellow-townsmen. Interested in military affairs and possessed of soldierly qualities, he rose from the ranks to the distinction of Col., whereto he was commissioned in 1795. He had a large family, mostly daughters. He died Oct. 27, 1831, aged nearly 80.
Relief, his second wife, died April 21, 1816, aged 52. A third wife, Mary (Pierce), widow of Oliver Jackson, whom he married Dec. 17, 1819, died March 16, 1833, aged 72. His mother, who spent her last days with him, passed away April 13, 1813, aged 97.
