STRUTHERS – Services will be on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman for Frances E. Hixson, 65, who passed away on Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Frances was born on Dec. 6, 1946, in Leetonia, a daughter of Jack F. and Wilma E. Hinerman Allgood. She lived in the area her whole life.
She worked as an Avon representative and as a teller at the Dollar Bank, where she retired from. Frances was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman and the Church's Altar Guild. She belonged to the Dollar Bank Retirement Club and the Coachman Camping Club.
Frances leaves her husband, Melvin D. Hixson, whom she married on Feb. 14, 1987. She also leaves her mother, Wilma E. Allgood and one son, James K. Hixson, both of Struthers.
Frances was preceded in death by her father and one brother, John Thomas Allgood.
Friends may call at St. James Episcopal Church on Saturday before the service from 9:15 until 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
