Nick and his wife, Anna (Yurch), and their young son, John, came to the United States about 1905, and went to Upper Michigan. He was a miner for the McKinney Steel Company (Ayers Mine). Nick worked in the iron mines for several decades, but by 1930 he was working above ground as a laborer on a golf course.
Nick and Anna had nine children:
(1) John (born in Austria/Czechoslovakia)
(2) A child who died prior to 1910 and may have been born overseas, or in the USA
The rest of the children were born in Crystal Falls, Michigan:
(3) Mary
(4) Annette (Annie)
(5) Michael
(6) Andrew
(7) Nick
(8) Katherine
(9) Margaret
Nick Brozak died in 1936 at the young age of 58 years old. His wife and several of his children later settled in LaSalle County, Illinois.
