Son of Samuel and Mary (Green) Scripture.
b. Mason, NH 12/9/1760
d. Nelson, NH 1/26/1852
When a lad of under fifteen years of age he entered the Rev. War in teh same company with his father, and was in the battle of Bunker Hill. He was a "Captain", probably receiving his title from service in the state militia. At an early date he was in Packersfield -- now Nelson -- where he remained until he died. In 1840 he was on the US pension roll at Nelson.
He married 1st Betsey Barrett.
Married 2nd Rebecca Conant.
Children (several of whom removed to Sandy Creek, NY, where they died): Samuel, Betsey, Hills, Reuben, Sally, Polly, Jerry, Clarissa, Lucinda, Charles.
