Mr. Ray Quinn, 90, of the Shawtown community died 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Keith Kirk will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Mr. Quinn was born November 20, 1919, in Decatur County, son of the late Bennie Mitchell and Emma Lee (Renfroe) Quinn. He married the former Rovene Scott on August 1, 1953. She survives. He was a retired farmer, served in the United States Army in World War II and was a member of Star of Bethlehem Assembly of God.

He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tommy Victory of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Debbie Quinn of the Shawtown community; four sisters, Juanita Morgan of Hornbeak, Hazel Brown of the Protemus community, Zellie Stone of Clinton, Kentucky and Clara Mae Jordan of Troy; and four grandchildren, Autumn Victory of Murfreesboro, Amber Victory and Garrett Quinn both of Martin and Hunter Quinn of the Shawtown community.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Grant Victory; four brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Terrell, Steve Alexander, Teddy Montgomery, James D. Hutchison, Mike Scott, Donnie Revell, Ricky Seals, Keith Kendall and Jerry Cunningham.
