Cecelia Jane Boyd is the d/o Cyrus Boyd and Nancy Lewis. Jane (Boyd) Ellis was an infant of six weeks when the family emmigrated to Tennessee, and two year later moved to Kentucky. They resided there for the same length of time, when they crossed the line into Missouri and thereafter lived in Jasper county until the decease of her father. She went my her middle name of Jane.
She married first to Thomas E. Root on Nov. 20, 1860. They had a daughter Alice Blanche Root.
