Estelle Thompson, 75, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011. She was born February 28, 1936 in Montgomery County, GA to the late Henry & Earnie Mae (Hamilton) Walker. Estelle has lived in Jacksonville for the past 49 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James; daughter, Millie Joe Dachs (Keith) of Middleburg; sister, Mae Simons (WL) of Vidalia, GA; grandchildren, Cristy Margadonna, Anthony Margadonna, Hannah Marie Dachs and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22 at 10:30am at First Baptist Church Jacksonville in the Hobson Auditorium, 133 W. Church St., Jacksonville, with Rev. Paul Murphy and Bro. Clyde Champlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends (no perfume please due to family allergies) at the church on Thursday beginning at 9:30am. Services are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. 714-1110. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. FL, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jax, FL 32257 or to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering at First Baptist Church, 124 W. Ashley St, Jax, FL 32202, in memory of Estelle.
