Ellen L. (Petro) Hoy, 84 of Naples, FL. formerly of Columbus, IN. died at 10:35 AM Saturday, November 05, 2011 at Avow Hospice in Naples, FL.
Mrs. Hoy was born April 29, 1927 in Johnson County, IN. the daughter of the late John W. and Mable M. Petro.
She married Carl E. Hoy August 10, 1943 in Hope, IN. and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1996.
Mrs. Hoy was a former technician at Arvin Industries and a former employee of C.P. Electronics and Cummins Engine Company.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Hoy will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, November 11, 2011 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with David Burnett officiating.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 10:00 AM Friday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. Hoy is survived by a son, Lewis C. (Phillis) Hoy of Aiken, SC; two daughters, Deborah E. (Neil) Estes of Columbus, IN. and Denise R. (William) Whitis of Naples, FL.; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband of 53 years, Mrs. Hoy was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Hoy and two sisters, Lucille Dahn and Joan Law.
