Mary E. Reilly, 87, of 92 Mohegan St. died Wednesday at home.

Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 7, 1919, daughter of George and Mary Favre Dausch, she graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lowell and was a resident of Pittsfield for most of her life.

Mrs. Reilly was a registered pharmacist for many years, having schooled herself at home for four years. She received her license from the Vermont State Board of Pharmacy on March 17, 1942. On Oct. 7, 1952, she received her Verification of Reciprocity in Massachusetts.

Mrs. Reilly retired from the former Nichols Pharmacy in 1991 after 15 years. Previously, she was a registered pharmacist at the former Engstrom's Pharmacy in Pittsfield for years and was employed for 27 years at the former Haggard's Pharmacy in Lenox.

She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and also a Eucharistic minister at the church.

Her husband, Charles R. Reilly, died May 31, 1968. They were married Jan. 6, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She leaves two sons, Michael R. Reilly of Mansfield, Conn. and David P. Reilly of Pittsfield; two daughters, Mary C. Reilly and Karen A. Reilly, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Elizabeth Paquette of Northampton; a brother, George Dausch of Zephyr Hill, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, John E. Reilly, died March 13, 2000.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mary E. Reilly died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006 at home. She was a loving grandmother to David, Katie, Bryan, Matthew and Michael Reilly, and Patrick, Daniel and David Forrest. She was a beloved great-grandmother to Cole Reilly, Makayla Mowel and Bailey Reilly.

She also leaves her brother-in-law, Charles Paquette, and daughters-in-law, Shirley Paradise Reilly and Cheryl Knott Reilly. The funeral for Mrs. Reilly will be Monday, Oct. 2 at 9 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.

Calling hours will be at the funeral home tomorrow, Oct. 1, from 2 to 5. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Pantry, care of the funeral home in her memory.
