John Vinesett
BLACKSBURG - John Vinesett, 82, of 403 East Cherokee St., passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Vinesett was the husband of Mildred "Mickey" Dixon Vinesett of the home and the son of the late William and Doshie Vinesett. He proudly served his country for 28 years in the United States Army and was of the Baptist fairth.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Vinesett is survived by two daughters, Laurel Romero of Alabama and Beverly Pennington of Blacksburg; two sisters, Helen Vinesett of Piedmont and Brenda Painter of Gaffney; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Arrangements for Mr. Vinesett are pending.
The family will be at the home of Beverly Pennington, 207 Sunset Drive, Blacksburg.

Visitation was held Thursday, Dec 29, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary.
Funeral services with full military rights will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, at 3 p.m. in Gordon Mortuary chapel. Interment will follow in Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Beverly Pennington, 207 Sunset Drive, Blacksburg.
