Mr. Jewell Junior Thrower, 72, went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2011. Mr. Thrower was born January 17, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia. Both parents preceded him in death. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Left to cherish memories, a devoted wife of over 50 years , Virginia Thrower; children, Jimmy, Matthew and Vivian; brothers, James, Raymond, Darrell, Irvin and Roger; sisters, Betty, Jean and Wanda; twelve grandchildren; two, great-grandchildren; hosts of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Combs Funeral Home. Interment 11:00 A.M.
