Christine Smith Brown, age 97 of Nashville, TN passed away November 2, 2011.
She was born one of 10 children in Wilson County on October 29, 1914 to the late William Anderson Smith and Ada Fite Smith.
She worked for many years for Sealtest/Kraft Foods and was a member of Eastland Baptist Church for over 50 years where she was active in the choir and as a Sunday school teacher.
As a member of the East Nashville YMCA she was often found participating in their water aerobics class.
She was married to the late Herman C. Coats and the late William Brown, she is also preceded in death by a son, James A. Coats.
She is survived by one son and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday November 5, 2011 in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.
Interment will follow ceremonies in Nashville's Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
