Funeral service is 1 PM Saturday, October 13, at Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church, with Dr. George Cook, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state from 11 AM until 1 PM the day of the funeral, at the church.
Mrs. Talford, a cosmetologist for 40 years, was born in Spartanburg, SC. She was a graduate of Second Ward High School and Carver College.
Survivors include her husband, Reverend Freeman Walton Talford; sons, Joel D. Talford (Floressa), Freeman J. Talford (Emma), Fredrick W. Talford (Constance), Dwight A. Talford (Dyane) and William E. Talford; and five grandchildren.
