Caroline was born Karlene "Caroline" Colleen Bader. She was named after her father's sister, Karlene Bader. The family called her "Babe" since she was the youngest.

Babe and Homer were the parents of three children, all boys:

Walter Stephen born 09 Aug 1915 married #1 Betty, #2 Helen
Earl Homer born 19 May 1918 married Iva Jean Iman
Wayne Arthur 31 Dec 1920 married Donna Jean Fromm

Homer and Babe were the Sextons of many local cemeteries. Their sons were the owners of Gray Burial Vaults which was located in Kansas City, Kansas.

Babe passed away 25 Aug 1993 and was laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas.
