Lots 16369, 16370, 16371 and 16372 were originally purchased by the Brooklyn Society for the Relief of Respectable Aged, Indigent Females, incorporated in 1851, this society was later named the Graham House for Old Ladies after it's benefactor John B. Graham. The original building and campus in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, still exist today. No longer a home for Old Ladies, it was converted to co-ops in the late 20th century.
Mary Fryer's grave is unmarked, no individual gravestone can be found for her on these lots. Grave 19 is located in the right rear of the conjoined lots. There are so few gravestone on these four lots, making it difficult to pinpoint the graves. These graves hold three interments each; and graves were shared with other Graham House residents.
