Connie J. Murphy, 52, a longtime resident of Imlay City and formerly of Romeo, passed away December 23, 2011 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She was born May 2, 1959 in Mt. Clemens, the daughter of Stanley V. and Beulah (Woodman) Cockerill.

She graduated from Romeo High School in 1977. Connie married John Murphy June 25, 1977 at Romeo United Methodist Church. Connie was a devoted mother and truly loved her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John, of Imlay City; beloved children, Stacey Horning of Imlay City, John Murphy of Imlay City and Nathan Schocke of Capac. She is also survived by her sisters, Janice (Dennis) Davis of Romeo and Sandra (John) Morgan of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah in 1989 and her father Stanley in 2003.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. with Dr. Gary R. Glanville officiating.

Burial will be made at Davis Cemetery. Arrangements by Roth-Muir Funeral Home.
