Canadian politician. A native of Saint-Stanislas (Québec), he studied with the academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand-Mère, then at the College of Optometrists of the Province of Québec. He graduate in optometry in 1911. Optometrist of profession, he was also a trapper, a forester, a jeweller, a photographer and a scenario writer. His practice was first in La Tuque, from 1911 to 1916, then from he setteld in Grand-Mère. He was President of the College of Optometrists of the Province of Québec, from 1934 to 1949. President de ltée Crête and director of Armand Rhéault enr. He published “Le Canada et la guerre” 1941 and he is also the author of the film “Casses et pêches canadienne”. He served on the Grand-Mère School Board, from 1926 to 1932 and in 1931, he was its Chairman. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly as the Liberal representative for the district of Laviolette in 1931. On October 1, 1935, he resigned and this same year, switched to Ottawa when he was elected as the Liberal representative for the district of Saint-Maurice-Laflèche. He was reelected to the House of Commons in 1940, but was deated in 1945. He died in Grand-Mère.
