The Oklahoman, Monday, March 21, 1954:
Lloyd C. Jones, 41, well known Oklahoma City grocer died unexpectedly Sunday of a heart attack. He was the owner of the Jones Boys No 1 Grocery at May and NW 33.

Jones was born in Greenfield, Blaine County, Oklahoma and came to Oklahoma City 24 years ago.

After graduation from Capitol Hill High School, he entered business with his father, Laurent Jones of 1810 NW 18. He opened his own store, Jones Boys No 1 in 1950.

A member of Epworth Methodist Church, Jones was a Mason and a member of Myrtle Lodge and the Shrine.

Other survivors are his wife, Cleo Jones, of the home; two daughters, Mrs Mary Lou Mosser and Gail Jones, both of the home; four brothers, Ralph L. Jones, 210 NW 17; Roy E. Jones, 1601 Classen Drive; Troy L. Jones, 1729 NW 18; and Keith N. Jones, 2118 Gatewood; and two sisters, Mrs George Copeland, 711 NW 14; and Mrs W. M. Potter, 605 NW 32.

Services are pending at the Capitol Hill Funeral Home.
