Joseph A. Rose
EDINA, Mo. — Joseph A. Rose, 81, of Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, died at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday (May 11, 1988) in the nursing home.
Mr. Rose was born Oct. 1, 1906, near Edina, a son of Charles E. and Theresa Dolan Rose. He married Minnie Garrett March 1, 1936, in Edina. She survives.
Mr. Rose was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Edina and for 35 years was a partner in the Rose and Patterson Seed and Grain Store in Edina. He retired in 1973.
Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Nancy) Smith of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Goodwin of Blythe, Calif.; a granddaughter, Christy; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today and until time of services Saturday in the Kriegshauser Funeral Home in Edina. A rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
